Research Donation - One Hour

We fulfill remote research requests in the order they are received using our part-time and volunteer staff. We are thankful for your patience as it can take us weeks to months to fulfills requests depending on our queue. In order to support the continuation of our research services, we suggest a donation of $20/hour for our services, which are limited to copying sources in our research library, archives, and on a limited basis, the courthouse. We strive to keep our services affordable as professional research services can cost $50-60/hour. When we fulfill your request we will contact you and provide a suggested donation based on the number of hours it took to complete your request. If you wish, you may make that donation here, or you may mail a check made payable to Louisa County Historical Society to PO Box 1172, Louisa, VA 23093 (please write "research donation" in the memo).
