Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands: Records of the Louisa Court House Field Office 1865 1868 (NARA Series M1913 Roll 103 & 104) Includes Finding Aids & Guides by the Louisa County Historical SocietyDVD Set Thanks to the generosity of two private benefactors, the Louisa County Historical Society was able to convert the microfilm images of the Louisa Court House Field Office records of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, also known as the Freedmen’s Bureau, at the National Archives to digital images and index those records in finding aids.  The index and finding aids (Microsoft Access and Excel) were created to include all the names and thematic content of the many letters, labor contracts, ration distributions, school reports, and circulars included in this collection of over 1,000 images. The indexing project is the work of Kristin Hicks.
